Daniel grew up in Esperança, a town whose very name means “Hope” in English. He is a cuddly father, married to an Estonian wife, his family life is enriched by a Slovakian rescue dog and a Belgian farm cat. This diverse family composition leaves him no space to doubt the European project. His life-motto, rooted in his home town name, embodies the belief that “hope, once kindled, never fades”.

In his free time, Daniel loves going on hiking trips with his family and dog. Most of his time is spent nurturing the newest passion of his kid, whatever it may be from dinosaurs, to Pokémon or minerals.
