March for Open Borders โ Together for a united Europe!
On 19 July, Volt will send a strong message for freedom and solidarity: during the March for Open Borders, we will take to the streets at border crossings to protest against border controls. Events are planned in Flensburg (๐ฉ๐ช Germany), Bad Nieuweschans (๐ณ๐ฑ Netherlands), Frankfurt (Oder) (๐ฉ๐ช Germany), Enschede (๐ณ๐ฑ Netherlands), Schmilka (๐ฉ๐ช Germany), Aachen (๐ฉ๐ช Germany), Schengen (๐ฑ๐บ Luxembourg), Basel (๐จ๐ญ Switzerland) and Salzburg (๐ฆ๐น Austria).
The event is a coordinated action by various Volt chapters, including Volt Netherlands, Volt Germany, Volt Luxembourg, Volt France and Volt Austria. A special march through the border triangle around Schengen is planned for Luxembourg.
We are protesting against the reintroduction of border controls in many European countries and calling for a Europe without barriers. Open borders are at the heart of a united, peaceful and united Europe. They enable exchange, friendship and cooperation across all national lines.
