Lara is born in Hyderabd, India. She moved around in India and settled in Mumbai where she finished high school and Chemical Engineering. She then moved to Jülich, Germany, for her European Master in Nuclear Applications. Afterwards she moved to Belgium for an R&D project funded by the Wallone Government. Finally she moved to Luxembourg in 2013 to work for a one of a kind neutron generator device and was in charge of the software, testing and safety related to the product. Today she's working in the space/satellite industry.

In her free time, Lara likes to play board games as well as video games (mainly shooters and MMORPG). She enjoys various sports like badminton, tennis, table tennis, kickboxing and swimming. Last but not least, she also likes to meet up with friends and go dancing to electronic music.
